A day @ Sri Sai Old Age Home

Did a shoot @ Sri Om Sai Old Age Home as part of Help-Portrait. It was a wonderful experience. And i personally consider this shoot as my most memorable one.

Had fantastic time... met 18 different people... got to know about 18 different families...18 different life stories... 18 different pain and sorrows... Some stories really got tears in my my eyes... :(

Life is so uncertain isn't it??? did any of these 18ppl ever thought that they will be living together under a common shelter????

Friends, lets give all our love to our elders.. they really DESERVE it ...

And i really appreciate Mr. Ravi Kumar who the backbone of the trust :)

Here are some clicks for those sweet people...

Kids Photography - Season 1

Few months back, i did a photo shoot for Mrs. Sharan Shetty's family and their cute little 2yrs old son Idhanth.

This was my first Pro-photo shoot. Kids have always been my fav topic, but they are very challenging too... All these day i just did it for fun & doing it as part of Profession is totally a different experience.

I choose Lalbagh, Bangalore as a location for shoot. Started the shoot in evening. The bright green grass, lovely back light, sprinkler, natural light, kids mood, everything was just so well complimenting for the shoot. I was quite lucky to get some really good shots. I did used strobe lights.

Here are some pics from the session.

You can see more here on my photostream.

Btw, i am available for paid assignments so you can mail me if you are intersted in getting family, kids , teens, bridal, couple portraits done.. mail id sowmya0304@gmail.com . Thank you :)

Lovely Kasargodu

When u remember of film Bombay, the first thing comes to mind is the Bekal Fort. The beautiful song “Tu hi re” was shot here. After Bombay, Bekal fort became very popular tourist spot in Kerala.

As everyone, even for me this place was in my wish list. But somehow could not make it all these years. My sis who was in Konaje for sometime for studies was heard about this place, but since she was busy all the times in the studies, could not make it. I had been to her place in May and told here about my plans of visiting this place. She was very much interested and we decided to go in small group.

We took a direct bus from Tokkottu to Kasargod. One can enjoy the travel in these buses because they are really really fast. Buses are very nice with no glass window, but it has a cloth blinds.

We reached the place in two hours. I was near my dream place and was very excited.

Desh Mera Rangila!!!!!!

India celebrates 62nd Independence day. India's Independence Day is celebrated on August 15 to commemorate its independence from the British rule and its birth as a sovereign nation on that day in 1947. It is celebrated all over the country through flag-hoisting ceremony . The main celebration takes place in New Delhi, where the Prime Minister hoists the National Flag at the Red Fort and delivers a nationally televised speech from its ramparts. In his speech, he highlights the achievements of his government during the past year, raises important issues and gives a call for further development. The Prime Minister also pays his tribute to leaders of the freedom struggle.

Wishing all Indian's a very happy independence day!!!!! Proud to be an Indian.
